Dear Matthew,

I forgive you for hurting my feelings the other day. I love you, little brother!

Love, Danielle

If they can’t think of anyone, they also could write a letter thanking someone for forgiving them! For example:

Dear Mom,

Thank you for forgiving me when I was not listening. I won’t do it again.

Love, Danielle

Make sure they are doing the proper spacing, capitalization, and punctuation in their letter. Send photos to me when complete!

This is important because students will start doing assignments with time next week, so we want them to be prepared. For extra enrichment, have them go around your home and make some observations about the clocks there. Are the hands moving fast or slow? Can you tell what time it is? Are the hands pointing directly to the numbers or are they a little bit off to the side? Do all of your clocks look the same?
